Ms. Kimberly Sanchez giving tips on how to improve the participants study habits.

Last July 27, 2016, the Guidance Office held an Intervention on Study Habits for the first years and transferees of Lourdes College at the Audio Visual Room.

This intervention is an annual activity and based on the Study Habits Inventory. It is a survey wherein the freshmen and transferees fill out to determine in which category they are strong in and which they need improvement on.

Ms. Alve Aranton, the school’s Psychometrician, explained the results of the inventory. The results revealed that most of the participants had a moderate management of all concerning categories covered in the inventory but half of them needs to improve their concentration and note-taking skills.

Ms. Kimberly Sanchez, one of the Guidance Counselors presented a video clip that featured tips and gave 10 tips of her own to improve their concentration and note-taking skills. She also added the Test Anxiety tips as well as her own tips for preparing for any test.

With these tips in hand, the freshmen and transferees will surely manage their next few years in college well. (Athena Lumacang – LC
