Arts & Sciences celebrates Annual Acquaintance
With the objective, “to develop teamwork and sportsmanship among students,” the Arts and Sciences Program conducted its annual Team Building at the Lourdes College Integrated Basic Education Department (LCIBED) Gymnasium last July 30, 2016.
The program holds its acquaintance yearly in a way of building a strong team and friendship among the students dubbed as the “ArtSci Day” with two purposes: team building and tryouts for the upcoming Intramurals.
The program was spearheaded by the program’s newly appointed president, Nikka Jones Gatela, BS Psych-2 student, guided and assisted by the program Dean, Dr. Adora B. Velez with the remaining Program Officers for the school year of 2016-2017.
This year’s ArtSci Day is packed with activities including the community dance called Zumba, Parlor Games such as Egg Catch and Straw Relay and tryouts for the games of Badminton, Table Tennis, Basketball, and Volleyball.
The event was attended by the students from the different courses under the Arts & Sciences: Psychology, Music, Library Science, MassCom, and AB English.
“The event was good. It was worth the efforts of the officers to bring the program together,” exclaimed Myles R. Maandig, BM-ED2, LCSG Arts & Sciences Commissioner. (Jayryvie B. Fuentes – Psychology student)
