Admission – Graduate Studies

New Students

Steps:

1. Interview. The student is interviewed by the Dean of the Graduate School or its designated officer. The student brings with him/her the following:

1.1 Photocopy of the Bachelor’s Transcript of Record
1.2 Bio Data

2. Entrance Test. The student goes to the Guidance and Testing Center for the schedule of the Exam and takes the exam on the scheduled date.
3. Result of the Exam. The Testing Office submits the result of the qualifying exam to the Graduate School Dean.
4. After getting the results, he/she presents this to the Dean for approval of Registration and brings with her the following:

4.1 Letter of Recommendation from the College last attended
4.2 Letter of Recommendation from previous teacher, present employer, or head of institution affiliated with attesting to capability to do Graduate School Work.
4.3 Permit to Study (For Public School Teachers / government employees)
4.4 Honorable Dismissal from the school last attended; and
4.5 Two (2) 1×1 ID pictures.

5. Fills up the Temporary Form for subjects to be taken in relation to the Course of Study after Consultation with the Graduate School Dean for programming of Course of Study;
6. Formally registers by filling up the Registration Form and seeks approval from the signatories required in the Form;
7. Goes back to the Graduate School Office for ID and Student Association requirements. (Back on top)


Transferees

Steps:

1. Interview. The prospective student brings with him/ her copy of the Transcript of Records from the last Graduate School attended for evaluation purposes.
2. Follow procedure nos. 2 & 3, of letter A.
3. After getting the results, he/she presents this to the Dean for approval of Registration and brings with her any of the following:

3.1 Transfer Credentials (Honorable Dismissal) Letter of Recommendation from previous teacher, present employer, or head of institution affiliated with attesting to capability to do Graduate School Work.
3.2 Permit to Study (For Public School Teachers / government employees)
3.3 Honorable Dismissal from the school last attended; and
3.4 Two (2) 1×1 ID pictures.

4. Follows procedure nos. 5-7 of letter A. (Back on top)


Continuing Students

A continuing student refers to a bonafide graduate student of Lourdes College who has finished the previous semester immediately prior to seeking enrolment for the succeeding semester of his/her program.

Steps:

1. The following documents are required for interview by the Graduate School Dean:

1.1 Grades from last semester authenticated by the Registrar’s Office;
1.2 Validated Evaluation Sheets from the Registrar’s Office; and
1.3 Identification Card from the previous Semester.

Returning Students

A returning student refers to a bonafide student of Lourdes College who discontinued his/her studies and has not obtained an Honorable Dismissal from the school or whose transcript of records has not been forwarded to another school.

Steps:

1. The returning students brings with him/her Validated Evaluation Sheets from the Registrar’s Office during the interview by the Graduate School Dean;
